Melissa began acting many moons ago in her native Wales and was then lured into the world of voices.
She has voiced a wide variety of programmes for all the major television channels including BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and Discovery.
Originally from South Wales, Melissa has a deep characterful voice with warm, friendly tones. Her native accent has a gentle Welsh lilt which moves easily to a standard R.P. Her dramatic and audiobook work also encompasses a wide range of character voices and regional accents.
She has a wealth of experience in documentary and feature work, providing narration for programmes such as Horizon, This World, and Total Emergency and has also worked as a continuity announcer for the following channels :
BBC Choice - First continuity voice launching BBC Choice prior to its rebrand as BBC3.
Paramount Comedy Channel - Continuity announcing duo with Phill Jupitus, then as solo continuity.
Sky Arts 1 and Sky Arts 2.
Some of her recent work includes narration for Media Trust and Discovery UK Channel : Crime Scene USA.
She has also joined the Short Stories Aloud team at Arts at The Old Fire Station in Oxford. Performances have included stories from 'Sweet Home' by the award winning author Carys Bray at Friday Night Live at the Ashmolean and also stories by Rachel Joyce, Kerry Hudson and Antonia Honeywell.

In October 2014 as part of the Dylan Thomas Centenary, Melissa was excited and proud to have performed at the Do Not Go Gentle Festival in Uplands and the Dylathon at the Swansea Grand Theatre .
